John F. Karr is a longtime disseminator of cockology. His popular “Karrnal Knowledge” column of reviews has been appearing in San Francisco’s Bay Area Reporter since 1978, and other reviews and associated articles have also appeared in GayVN, the Advocate, the New York Native, Drummer, the Alternate, Manifest Reader, and the Swedish daily Tageblatt. He’s a guest lecturer on Human Sexuality at San Francisco State University and The Institute for the Advanced Study of Human Sexuality. A co-founder of SF Jacks, he’s been co-hosting its group meatings for 23 years. He was a ten-year member of the Blow Buddies team, the founding editor of the BAR’s Arts and Entertainment section in 1981, and has created many sound designs for the theatre, as well as directed numerous musicals and cabaret entertainments. He currently makes his living as a professional theater worker. But he lives for porn.
